Commie Bastard

I was accused of being un-American, despicable and dangerous today because I did not share a person's belief in a particular set of bronze age texts. This made me sad because I have devoted my adult life to public service of my country.

It also raises the question, "What exactly does it mean to be American?" After it is defined, would I want anything to do with it?

I modeled this after a photo my wife took of me after I got my Master's degree- in between tours in Afghanistan.
